Berkay Yılmaz

Berkay Yılmaz is a documentary photographer and filmmaker working on themes of post-war societies and social transformation. He is currently studying Urban and Regional Planning at Yıldız Technical University and has professional experience in advertising and media production. For the past two years he has conducted independent documentary projects across the Middle East and Africa. His work focuses on post-war reconstruction, social movements and urban transformation. He has documented post-war Afghanistan and Syria as well as protest movements in Africa, and in Turkey he has covered demonstrations and major public events. His interests include documentary photography, conflict and post-conflict societies, and urban research.
