Tulya Çavuşoğlu was born in 1995 in Istanbul. She graduated from the Philosophy Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. During and after her studies, she developed a strong interest in the philosophy of photography. Between 2014 and 2024, she documented and photographed various street movements and social struggles in Istanbul, particularly focusing on the women’s and LGBTQI+ movements, and began building a visual documentary archive in this field. Since 2023, she has continued this work based in Ankara. Her photographs have been published by platforms and organizations such as BirGün Newspaper, İletişim Publishing, and Muzir.org. In addition to documentary photography, she produces work in digital surreal and manipulative photography, as well as stage, portrait, nature, food, wedding, and baby photography, offering services that include photography, video production, and editing. Alongside her photography practice, during the years she lived in Istanbul she worked as a contemporary dance and yoga instructor at various institutions. She has taught movement-based body–mind classes for both children and adults and has organized workshops focusing on dance and physical awareness.
